Cow & Gate Anti-Reflux is a thicker formula made with ingredients that help to relieve reflux: Carob bean gum – an ingredient that thickens the formula when it’s mixed and makes sure that formula stays thick in the stomach, helping the feed to stay downOther key nutrients, just like those found in our infant milks How is Cow & Gate Anti-Reflux different from other reflux and regurgitation milks? Most other thickened feeds are made with starches instead of carob bean gum. These feeds are partly digested by your baby’s saliva, so they may lose their thickness before reaching your baby’s tummy. Thickened feeds with carob bean gum are less affected by your baby’s saliva and therefore stay thicker in your baby’s tummy. Cow & Gate Anti-Reflux contains important nutrients, such as LCPs and nucelotides, to make sure your baby gets the nutrients they need for healthy growth. It is important that you don’t combine different reflux and regurgitation remedies. What kind of teat should I use? As Cow & Gate Anti-Reflux is thicker than other milks, it’s recommended that you use a single hole fast-flow teat. When can I expect the symptoms to improve? Every baby is different – you may notice that their symptoms start to improve after a few days, but for some babies it may take longer. If your baby’s symptoms don’t improve after 2 weeks, or if you have any other concerns, consult your health visitor or GP. Will I notice any changes in my baby? The special ingredients in Cow & Gate Anti-Reflux mean that the consistency of your baby’s stools may change. However there is no need to worry, as it is perfectly normal.
